The Baltimore Ravens have announced that they have placed TE Dennis Pitta onto the IR after he has had surgery for his hip injury, per Adam Schefter. That is another tough player for the Ravens to lose.

With all the madness happening in Baltimore, they didn’t need a key player going down on offense. Last season, Pitta was only able to play in 4 games during the season and he has had his season cut short again because of this hip injury.
With Pitta out of the lineup, the team will rely on Owen Daniels to take more snaps on offense at the tight end spot.
The Ravens could go for some good news at some point. They are coming off of a victory against the Cleveland Browns… but they still are the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are a much better team this season, but it still is nothing to write home about.
The Ravens are without another key player and still have this Ray Rice thing hanging over the team. They just need to find ways to win and put all the noise in the background. They have done it so far.
