The MRI on Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker came back clean and it showed a wrist strain, per Ian Rapoport. That doesn’t tell fans much about his timetable to return though. He wasn’t able to grip the football at the end of the game and could miss some time with the injury.

We will have to keep an eye on the practice reports to see the status on his wrist. With Locker resting, the team will trust in Charlie Whitehurst. Whitehurst will have to prepare to take the starter role this week with Locker hurting. If Locker is able to step in and take the starter role later in the week, then Whitehurst can continue to hold onto the clipboard like has done for most of his career.

The team would want Locker to get back on the field to run the squad, but they will move to Whitehurst if they need to. The team brought over Whitehurst in the offseason and he has been part of Ken Whisenhunt’s offense for the last season and some change. He should be ready to take the ball if needed. He still is Charlie Whitehurst though.
