San Diego Chargers superstar wide receiver Keenan Allen was listed questionable on the injury report last week before the game against the Buffalo Bills, as he was a mid-week addition on Thursday with a groin injury. Although the injury never seemed serious and he was able to practice on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday, mid-week listings are rarely a good sign. That said, he was able to play against the Bills without any issues and didn’t have to do much in an easy victory for the Chargers over the then-undefeated Bills. Allen caught just two passes for 17 yards in a quiet performance, but it wasn’t due to the ill-effects of his groin injury.

According to the U-T San Diego’s Michael Gehlken, Keenan Allen was able to get in a full practice today to start the week, thus confirming that he’s 100% and didn’t have any issues on his injured groin last week. The last thing people need to be worried about is Allen’s health, because he’s locked in to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are fielding one of the league’s worst defenses and should be torn to bits by the elite combo of Philip Rivers and Allen, especially since Rivers will feel almost no pressure.
Allen currently has 12 receptions for 109 yards on the season, and he put on a route-running clinic on Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks in an upset victory. It’s easy to get carried away with the “exposed” talk, because, to me, Allen’s day shows just how amazing both players are. First of all, Allen was pulling some amazing moves out there to get open, but the fact that Allen had to be at his best to make those plays shows you how good Sherman is. And the praise we’re giving to Allen shows you just how much of an achievement it is to beat Sherman for even just a few plays; he’ll have no trouble getting open against the Jags.
