Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly is one of the fastest rising stars in the entire NFL. After winning the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award following his second season in the league in 2013, it’s inevitable that he’ll one day become one of the biggest stars the NFL has to offer. A good way to gauge just how popular he is becoming is by jersey sales.

And just like his performance on the field, he’s becoming one of the best in that department as well.
In the latest release of the DICK’S Sporting Goods jersey report, Kuechly was tops heading into Week 3 of the young season both nationwide and online. Kuechly is right above Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning on the list, which is quite the accomplishment in itself, especially for a defensive player.
The Panthers are 3-1 through their first three games of the season and Kuechly is making his presence felt once again, which will only add in the success of his jersey sales in the future.
In the three games the team has played against the Steelers, Lions and Buccaneers, Kuechly has tallied 34 total tackles with one sack and one fumble forced. Last season he finished with four interceptions, arguably his best stat, but he has yet to get one of those this year.
But, he can take solace in the fact that his jersey, at least for one week, sits right above one of the greatest players to ever play the game in Manning.
