Week 3 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings

25. Mike Glennon, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (± –)
Glennon was one of the only reasons the Buccaneers didn’t go 0-16 last season. The offense actually moved down the field with him last Thursday, and even if Josh McCown’s finger is fine, the Bucs should start Glennon anyway.
26. Teddy Bridgewater, Minnesota Vikings (± –)
This was the moment every draft enthusiast had been waiting for. Now, Bridgewater has to go out and prove that he’s the best rookie quarterback out there. It’ll be tough without Adrian Peterson to help him, but I think Bridgewater is capable of it. After replacing Matt Cassel, he had an average game, but that’s what happens when a rookie with no experience has replace a veteran in the middle of a game. I fully expect Bridgewater to play well and move up next week.
27. Jake Locker, Tennessee Titans (-5)
After a really strong Week 1 when Locker ranked in the top 15, I’m not sure what happened. The bad game against Dallas’s defense was totally unexpected. He did play against a much tougher defense in Cincinnati’s on Sunday, but I didn’t expect him to struggle this much.
28. E.J Manuel, Buffalo Bills (-7)
A promising 2-0 start was foiled by San Diego, and Manuel struggled. He was generally inaccurate, and he seemed lost on some plays. I’m picking the Bills to beat the Texans this week, and if Manuel isn’t able to play a better game against a bad Houston pass defense, he’ll move down some more. I want to root for Manuel and I want the Bills to have a successful starting quarterback, but with the way Manuel has played so far, I have my doubts.
29. Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders (-5)
Week 1 was promising for Carr and Raiders fans. But Carr struggled mightily against New England, especially on the right side of the 50 – the Raiders’ offense failed to put up touchdowns. Carr did torch Darrelle Revis on more than one occasion, but other than that, he was merely average.
30. Austin Davis, St. Louis Rams (-8)
A strong first half did not foreshadow what was to come for Davis and the Rams. A few bad throws turned the course of the game. That pick six really capped things off. No offense should struggle against Dallas like how the Rams struggled in the second half.
31. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Houston Texans (-12)
Fitzpatrick’s two performances prior to this week look extraordinarily misleading now. A three-interception performance knocks Fitzpatrick down by 12 spots. The Giants’ defense simply isn’t that great, yet Fitzpatrick still threw three picks. Now, the games against Washington and Oakland look misleading.
32. Geno Smith, New York Jets (-3)
Rex Ryan might consider starting Michael Vick. Things didn’t look good for Smith from the first snap (I should say second).
