Dallas Cowboys list Rolando McClain, Henry Melton questionable
Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker Rolando McClain missed last week’s 34-31 win over the St. Louis Rams with a groin injury after being listed doubtful, and he isn’t expected to play this week either. However, McClain is looking like a full-blown game-time decision this week after finally getting back on the practice field today, so it looks like the tides are turning when it comes to his chances of playing. The New Orleans Saints present a very difficult matchup for the Cowboys defense, but McClain has the unique coverage ability to help contain the likes of Jimmy Graham, Pierre Thomas, and Khiry Robinson.

According to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas, the Cowboys have listed McClain and star defensive tackle Henry Melton as questionable for this week’s Sunday Night Football game against the Saints. Like McClain, Melton was able to return to practice today, but it looks like he is also tentatively expected to miss the Saints game.
Both players should be regarded as game-time decisions, and I think they will end up being toss-ups. If questionable players are ideally 50-50 shots at playing, then chances are that one of them will be able to suit up. If the Cowboys don’t have either of them, then they could be in trouble against the Saints explosive offense.
