New York Jets WR Eric Decker is expected to play this weekend. He has been troubled with a hamstring injury that didn’t allow him to finish the game last week, but he should be out on the field on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. He is officially listed as questionable on the injury report.
The hamstring injury has been lingering since training camp. Decker has been battling through the injury, but it is something that has been hanging around for a bit. It flared up against the Green Bay Packers a couple of weeks ago. Last weekend against the Chicago Bears, he started feeling soreness in the hamstring after the first 12 snaps.
Would it be better if Decker just sat for a bit to make sure that his hamstring is fully ready to go? How long do you wait for that though? I appreciate the effort, but it probably would be best for the team if he sat out and got to 100% instead of playing partially and having the injury linger longer.
