Arian Foster Injury: Houston Texans RB a game-time decision
Houston Texans star running back Arian Foster missed last week’s loss to the New York Giants with a hamstring injury, and the Texans have to be very careful that they don’t aggravate his injury. This has led to the belief that the Texans will simply rest him for another week instead of potentially risking him. There’s little chance of the Texans causing much damage this season without a true franchise quarterback identified by the organization, and it makes sense to try and prolong the careers of one of their best players. With rookie Alfred Blue looking like a terrific find, it makes plenty of sense to rest up Foster and allow Blue to roll for a second straight week.

According to Texans official site beat writer Deepi Sidhu, Texans head coach Bill O’Brien, who will hopefully modify his plan to overwork his star running back, stated that both Shane Lechler and Arian Foster are “definitely” game-time decisions for Sunday’s battle against the Buffalo Bills, which feature a top-notch run defense thanks to an elite defensive line and LBs Brandon Spikes and Preston Brown.
Foster is a full-blown game-time call, so fantasy owners will have to watch his status closely before Sunday’s game, and I would definitely have a backup plan in place at this point. Hopefully you have Blue as a handcuff to Foster, because the LSU product seems fully legit at this very early point.
