Calvin Johnson Injury: Detroit Lions WR listed questionable

facebooktwitterreddit

Detroit Lions superstar wide receiver Calvin Johnson has been a consistent force so far this season, as the game’s best receiver already has 19 receptions for a whopping 362 yards and two touchdowns, with a 7-164-2 line in the Week 1 Monday Night Football drubbing of the New York Giants being the highlight. He’s had at least six catches for 80 yards in every game this season and should have Week 1-like numbers against the New York Jets this week.

  • Johnson missed practice on Thursday with an ankle injury of unknown severity, so we were all anxious to see if he would be able to practice today. He did, thus confirming his spot on the active roster for Sunday’s game against the Jets. According to MLive.com’s Kyle Meinke, the Lions have officially listed Megatron as questionable, meaning he is a lock to play barring any setbacks.

There should be no concerns about Johnson’s status at this point, and he should be able to surpass triple-digit receiving yards and is a threat to explode in fantasy football this week. Joseph Fauria is fully expected to miss today’s game, though rookie Eric Ebron looks poised to take his reps in the offense. The passing attack will continue to run through Calvin Johnson with plenty of Golden Tate on the side.
