Just when Kansas City Chiefs RB Joe McKnight thought things were moving in the right direction, he suffers a huge blow on the practice field. McKnight ruptured his Achilles during practice and that sounds like an injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season per Terez Paylor.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

McKnight is coming off of a game where he score a pair of touchdowns on 6 receptions for 64 yards. He didn’t get a chance to play in the first couple of games and missed the whole 2013 season.

The Kansas City Chiefs have gone through a ton of tough blows this season and this is another to add to their list. Just when they thought they found another weapon on offense, they lose him to this injury and he will be out for a while. Tough break for McKnight and the Chiefs.

Now the team will be looking for someone else that can provide a spark for the team on offense. It could be time for De’Anthony Thomas to make his mark on the roster.
