Veteran WR Steve Smith has shared that he is going to retire as a Carolina Panther. The news comes at a time when his current team, the Baltimore Ravens, are facing off against those Carolina Panthers.

"When that time comes, I’ll be able to walk back in those doors and retire as a Panther and have the respect and not have such a split and not allow the few individuals in their temporary residence there to alter a decade of what I’ve done and experienced in that great organization. I was there 13 years, and the way I look at it and what I was told, I’ll be there a lot longer than they will. – Bleacher Report"
Smitty should retire as a Panther though. I couldn’t see it happening in any other manner. He will always be seen as a Panther despite this season with the Ravens. He could play a couple of seasons in Baltimore, but that is not going to change the production that he had in Carolina. He wishes that he was still with that team, but since he is on the opposite sideline on Sunday, he will be looking to destroy them.
