Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall Injury Updates: WRs active

Detroit Lions superstar wide receiver Calvin Johnson has always been expected to play in today’s game against the New York Jets, and he is now expected to have a huge day against an easy pass defense that will be without top cornerback Dee Milliner. Johnson has been officially listed as active for today’s game, and this comes as no surprise. Not only was Johnson able to practice on Friday without any issues, but he also put in some good work during pre-game warm-ups and is an excellent fantasy option.

Chicago Bears star wide receiver Brandon Marshall was in some more doubt heading into today’s huge rivalry game against the Green Bay Packers, as he did not practice at all this week after aggravating an ankle injury in the team’s Monday Night Football victory over the Jets. Marshall, however, was always expected to play through the pain, and his ankle looked fine. The Bears are officially listing him as active, so he’s made it on the good side of the game-time decision coin.

Marshall isn’t as strong of a fantasy play as fellow Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, but he did catch three touchdown passes against the San Francisco 49ers after not practicing during the week (this was when he first suffered the ankle injury).
