Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones looks poised to have a big season once he sees the field, but, unfortunately, Jones is still having issues getting healthy after breaking his foot in training camp. He was always expected to return this week against the sliding New England Patriots with a bye week under his belt, but Jones suffered an ankle injury at practice yesterday. The severity of his injury is unknown, but I would tentatively expect him to be held out of this week’s contest.

Stripe Hype
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Paul Dehner Jr., Jones was not spotted at practice today, adding that this is a troubling development. If Jones can’t practice tomorrow (at this point, there’s no reason to think that he will be able to, but it’s a toss-up), then there’s no way he plays against the Patriots when Sunday comes.
Last season, Jones caught 51 passes for 712 yards and ten touchdowns, with the sporadic TD outputs making him a nice fantasy option for some owners. Jones should be able to take a big leap as the team’s No. 2 WR opposite of A.J. Green, so we can only hope that the talented 24-year-old can shake off this ankle injury rather quickly.
