The NFC North is one of the hardest divisions in the NFL to figure out. Before the year began it was the Packers that were the favorites, but the Lions and Bears were considered contenders, too. After week 1 it seemed to be the Lions that would take the division, but then they laid and egg in week 2. Once week 2 concluded many were convinced that the Bears would take the division. Week 3 looked like the nail in the Green Bay’s coffin, but after week 4 the Packers R.E.L.A.X.E.D. and may have taken back control after stomping the Bears. This division has four talented teams — we cannot forget about the Vikings, either.

Minnesota is currently tied with the Packers and Bears at 2-2 on the year, while the Lions sit in first place (3-1). Most people thought the Vikings would hardly compete once Adrian Peterson was suspended. Then on top of that their starting quarterback, Matt Cassel, got hurt. But instead of folding, they found a way to notch a big win against a good Atlanta team. Many thought the Vikings were done, but they showed that they are dangerous. Essentially, none of these teams can be easily figured out. None can be ruled out until they’re mathematically eliminated from a possible division championship — which will not be for awhile.
