The New Orleans Saints spent a ton of money this offseason to add S Jairys Byrd, but it looks like they will not get the return on their investment this season. Byrd is getting places on the IR and will be out for the season.
Say what!? "@Saints: jairus byrd has been placed on season-ending IR, Payton announced #Saints"

The Saints have been struggling all over the field and will be losing a playmaker on their defense for the rest of the year. Byrd had not made much of an impact on the roster at this point of the season though. Many fans believed that Rob Ryan was using him incorrectly and he often was out of position.
Byrd has tore his lateral meniscus and is out for the season. Rafael Bush will replace Byrd in the starting lineup.
This is another blow to the Saints defense that already had shown their struggles this season. Byrd has shown the ability to be a big playmaker, but he just not has been able to do it for the Saints this season. He won’t get the chance to do it now until next year.
