Tavon Austin, Dwight Freeney listed questionable
St. Louis Rams second-year wide receiver Tavon Austin is having trouble getting on the field this year, as he hasn’t appeared in a game since suffering a sprained MCL in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Austin was only expected to miss two weeks, it looks like he could end up missing three after already being held out of the Rams Week 3 and 4 contests.

According to ESPN NFL Nation’s Nick Wagoner, Austin has officially been listed questionable for this week’s tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles, and nobody should be holding out hope for his health. Austin is slipping fast on the health front, and it’s not like he’s produced when on the field. There’s no denying his speed and explosiveness, but you can question his ability to become a consistent pass-catching threat for the Rams. I really hope he can get back on the field soon and release the talent bottled up inside of him.
San Diego Chargers edge rusher Dwight Freeney has been playing at a high level this season, and there were some worries that one of the Chargers best players could miss this week’s game against the New York Jets. Freeney was a mid-week downgrade yesterday, as he was held out of practice with a knee injury. However, he returned to practice today, and the New York Daily News’s Manish Mehta reports that Freeney has been listed as questionable on the Chargers injury report. It sounds like the 34-year-old could come down to a game-time decision, but I think he will be out there.
