Denver Broncos star outside linebacker Danny Trevathan has been getting closer to returning to the field after fracturing his left tibia in the preseason, and he was initially slapped with a 6-8 week timetable. Trevathan first hit the practice field again a couple of weeks ago, and the Broncos plan always seemed to be to bring him back after the Week 4 bye following the Week 3 Super Bowl rematch.

Predominantly Orange
According to Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post, Trevathan is expected to return to the Broncos tomorrow for another tough NFC West game against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals. The Broncos lone loss is to the Seahawks (in overtime, at that), so they have to be the favored team despite the Cards record and defense (plus, Arizona is starting Drew Stanton).
I would expect the Broncos to play it safe with one of their key players, as they clearly have their eyes set on staying healthy throughout the season instead of just getting short-term games. Trevathan, who was listed questionable before the Week 3 game despite not having a legit shot at playing, will most likely have limited snaps as the Broncos ease him in. One of the most active playmakers at the position, he recorded 128 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles, three picks, and ten passes defended in last year’s breakout campaign.
