Carson Palmer Injury: Arizona Cardinals QB could play next week
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has missed three weeks with a nerve injury, and he was ruled out for a fourth straight week on Friday after being unable to practice at all this past week. It hasn’t seemed like there’s an end in sight to Palmer’s injury woes, but that has evidently changed with a report that has surfaced today.

FOX Sports’s Jay Glazer reports, per colleague Ross Jones, that Palmer could play in next week’s game against the Washington Redskins, as the former Cincinnati Bengals and Oakland Raiders QB flew to Denver with the team in order to meet up with the specialist who has handled Peyton Manning’s neck injury with- if I may say so- aplomb.
Palmer’s injury never seemed to be a severe long-term issue that could threaten to end his season, but he should still be considered to be without a timetable. The Cardinals will have Drew Stanton out there again today against the tough Denver Broncos, but hopefully Palmer can make his return next week and shake off the rust against an awful Redskins secondary. Once the Cardinals get Palmer back, then they will have a respectable offense to match a defense that has been largely responsible for their 3-0 start.
Per Glazer, Palmer has new optimism regarding the injury and should return by Week 7 at the latest.
