Brandon Marshall, Tavon Austin Injury Updates
Chicago Bears star wide receiver Brandon Marshall has been limited over the past couple of weeks by a nagging ankle injury, as he hasn’t made his customary, huge impact outside of a three-touchdown performance on Sunday Night Football to help push the Bears to a big win over the San Francisco 49ers. Three touchdown catches always makes for an impressive day, but what made things even more impressive was the fact that Marshall was playing on that injured ankle.

Marshall finally looks healthy again, as he did well during pre-game warm-ups today, has made positive remarks regarding his status, and practiced fully this past week. He is officially active for today’s game against the Carolina Panthers, and we can expect a big performance out of him against a secondary that simply doesn’t have the personnel equipped to handle him.
The NFL Network’s Jeff Darlington reports that St. Louis Rams second-year wide receiver Tavon Austin is active for today’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, so he only ended up missing two weeks on an MCL sprain that he suffered in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (two weeks was his initial timetable). I wouldn’t expect him to be big factor if Brandon Boykin is healthy and ready to cover him.
