Peyton Manning threw for his 500th touchdown yesterday and some of his teammates were joshing him a bit. One of his receivers even gave him a good line about his first touchdown in the league. He asked Peyton if his first touchdown came when everyone was wearing leather helmets. That is hilarious.

Peyton Manning came back with this line via MMQB:

"“But yeah, somebody asked me if for my first [touchdown pass], ‘did we wear leather helmets?’ So, that was a nice free cheap shot there. I wouldn’t start that guy on your fantasy team next week. He’s not going to get a lot of balls next week. I’ll leave him nameless.”"

Awesome response by Peyton and I actually believe that Peyton would spread the ball out to everyone else in order to fulfill that promise…. and the Broncos still would move the ball all over the field and score touchdowns without getting that receiver the ball. That is how good Peyton does it.

We all just need to figure out which receiver had jokes. We will find out on Sunday when we see the stat line.
