Teddy Bridgewater Injury: Minnesota Vikings QB says he’s 100-percent
Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was sensational in his first start, as he made most draftniks look good by tossing over 300 passing yards and running in a score, taking full advantage of the weak Atlanta Falcons pass defense. Bridgewater picked up an ankle injury that didn’t look to be serious, but the Vikings decided not to risk their franchise signal-caller on a short week against the Green Bay Packers underrated defense. Well, I don’t think they could have envisioned Christian Ponder and the offensive line playing as poorly as they did, so getting a fully healthy Bridgewater this week will be key in avoiding another awful performance as they take on another division rival in the Detroit Lions.

Any fears regarding Bridgewater’s ankle should have largely been quelled by now, but this latest report serves to squash those worries for good. According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press’s Chris Tomasson, Bridgewater stated that he is now 100%, and he added that he won’t wear any form of protection on his ankle this week, since, you know, he’s 100%.
Bridgewater has a soft matchup in store for him, and this game could end up being a point-fest if the Lions offense can click without Calvin Johnson, who will likely be out this week with a high-ankle sprain.
