A.J. Green is expected to sit out this weekend’s action with his toe injury flaring up. Green had to leave practice early yesterday and was taken off on a cart and he saw the doc today to get an evaluation. THe team is going to give him the weekend off in order to give that toe some rest.
There still is no word on how long the team will keep Green off of the field. He is one of the main cogs to this offense and the team will need to get him back on the field at some point this season. They will have to find ways to move the ball down the field without him now.
THe team will have to rely more on the running game and Andy Dalton will have to trust other weapons on offense. Someone will need to step their game up and be productive while Green is sitting on the sideline. Hopefully this will make the team better in the long run.
After meeting with his foot doctor this morning, #Bengals WR AJ Green is not expected to play this Sunday, source says.
