10 & Out’s Pick 6: ATS, Winners & Eliminator picks, 71% accurate!

Locks of the Century of the Week… Soooo….Instead of one at a time I tried to stack my winners together, and the Lions cost me a six-teamer, and my eliminator pool freebie. Still, did pretty well and stand at 20-8 on the season. After so many blowout favorite covers, you’d have to think things will right themselves. But this may be a new NFL altogether. Anyway, games to consider this week were:

SD -7 @ OAK + 7 – The Vegas lines are catching up with us on the Charger band wagon, and you’re not supposed to like heavy favorites on the road in division, but the Raiders may not win until the holidays at this rate. Rookie QB Derek Carr was limited all week in practice and FB Marcel Reese, one of the few bright spots for this season’s blackhole, was limited too. Can San Diego win this game 24-14? Uh, yea. Chargers -7

PIT +2 @ CLE -2 The Browns haven’t beaten the Steelers as a favorite in over 24 years. Read that again. Big Ben is 15-1 against Cleveland in the last ten years. The Browns are coming off an emotional and exhausting game against the Titans. All that and I can get points? Steelers +2

ARI -3.5 @ WAS +3.5 I don’t care whose playing quarterback for either of these teams, the Cardinals defense is for real, still, and have something to prove after getting torched by Peyton. The Redskins are on a three game skid and their offense has scored 31 points combined in the last two weeks. Cardinals -3.5

NEP -3 @ BUF +3 The Bills and Pats meet in a game that actually means something. Again, road favorites in division are supposed to be a no-no. This isn’t your dad’s NFL anymore. Teams are covering like MAD, and bigger numbers than three. I’ll take Brady and Belichick to flex some more muscle and put Jim Schwartz back in his place, but the safe play is a Patriots winner -110

MONEY LINE – I told you to take Cleveland, and if you did, you got paid. Hoyer came through, biggest road comeback in NFL history, 26 unanswered points. Sure it was against the Titans and they’re backup quarterback, but still, impressive. I’ll take the win. This week, forget trying to pair Denver win with any ATS picks, you’ll be lucky to get any line at all. Instead, if you missed out on Indy, try Cincinnati -275. Best bet on a dog this week? PITTSBURGH +108

ELIMINATOR PICK– WK 1 Philly WK 2 Green Bay WK 3 New Orleans WK 4 San Diego WK 5 Detroit WK 6 Denver – Stupid. I liked Pittsburgh but I picked Detroit. Ed’s league has a patented Buy-Back® so I’m back in, but now I’ll have to be more cautious. Hopefully you went with Pittsburgh. Since I can’t afford any room for error here, I have to stop looking ahead so I’m taking Denver.

So there it is, kind of a baker’s half-dozen Pick 6: Winners – Denver, Cincy, Pittsburgh, New England. ATS:  SD -7, ARI -3.5, PIT +2.

REMEMBER: Do your own research. Bet your beer money not your car payment. And, as always, check back on Friday for final picks and analysis.
