Jordan Reed Injury: TE might not be limited tomorrow

facebooktwitterreddit

The Washington Redskins will face a tough secondary tomorrow when they take on the Arizona Cardinals, but they could be beat over-the-top, especially by DeSean Jackson, who managed to burn up the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. Though Kirk Cousins and the Redskins aren’t as potent on offense as Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, they could still have success on the Cardinals secondary (the Broncos tore them apart last week). Patrick Peterson and Antonio Cromartie are two talented CBs, but the Cardinals have weaknesses at linebacker in coverage and could struggle against one of the league’s most talented TE duos.

  • Jordan Reed is an excellent move tight end, but his only issue is his lack of health. He’s finally ready to play after being out since Week 1, though he could still be a game-time decision tomorrow. When asked in his mailbag feature if Reed will be limited tomorrow, ESPN NFL Nation’s John Keim responded that Reed will be utilized a “decent amount” if he is active against the Cardinals, and they will want to “play him a lot” in order to take advantage of some of the Cardinals weaknesses.

Niles Paul and Jordan Reed will likely be too much to handle in coverage for the Cardinals linebackers and safeties, but it will be interesting to see how Todd Bowles and the Cards attack those guys. The Redskins offense should make tomorrow’s game a close one, especially if D-Jax can break some more big plays down the field.
