Vincent Jackson, Mike Evans expected to play
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans have a better chance of being productive with Mike Glennon now entrenched as the team’s starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, as both big-bodied wideouts have more than enough vertical speed to win downfield and, thus, benefit more from Glennon’s touted arm strength. Both Jackson and Evans are listed questionable on the injury report going into today’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, and both players could have strong games if they are healthy and if Glennon gets enough protection from the likes of Haloti Ngata and the speedy Elvis Dumervil.

Per a source close to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, both Jackson and Evans are expected to play today despite being listed questionable on the injury report, and that’s definitely great news for Buccaneers fans and fantasy owners. Doug Martin has predicted a breakout performance from him and the offensive line in the running game, so it will be interesting to see if the Bucs offense can do some damage against the Ravens.
Jackson suffered a seemingly minor injury against the Saints last week but was never in true doubt and allayed all concerns when he returned to practice on Friday. He’s at the stage of his career where minor ailments will hold him back a bit, and it’s not unlike the nagging injuries that Calvin Johnson deals with. Meanwhile, Evans was always expected to play after making huge progress this past week, and his return from a groin injury comes way earlier than expected. He only missed last week’s game against the Saints after suffering what looked like a nasty injury in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
