Derek Carr had an awesome game against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. He was reading the blitz and checking out of plays and finding his receivers.
He even got the attention of Philip Rivers across the field. Here is what Rivers said of Carr.

He was impressive. The teams were in a shootout and it seemed that Carr would be able to drive the team down the field for a game tying field goal or a game winning touchdown. That is the type of presence that he had on the field. That is the type of confidence that he was carrying.
The Raiders have found their quarterback for the future. They just need to keep him growing in confidence and get him more weapons to work with. Coach Tony Sparano will make sure to get that offensive line in check and keep the quarterback standing. Carr only struggled when he got pressure in his face. Other teams will look to get more pressure on him, so he better be prepared to handle it when it comes.
