New York Jets Greg Salas has cast
New York Jets wide receiver Greg Salas spent a brief period of time with the New England Patriots back in 2012 after they acquired him from the St. Louis Rams, as he would join Brandon Lloyd, who signed with the team in the 2012 offseason, as WRs to play under Josh McDaniels in St. Louis. The Patriots offensive coordinator also had a hand in the signing of former Rams receiver and current Patriot Danny Amendola. Salas showed flashes, but the Pats kept him stashed on the practice squad. He was too good for the p-squad, so the Philadelphia Eagles poached him, only for the Jets to later poach him off of the Eagles practice squad.

So yeah, Salas has bounced around quite a bit, but it looks like he won’t get to play against the Patriots in this week’s reunion game on Thursday Night Football. He’s not expected to play after missing practice yesterday and today, and it also looks like his wrist injury is more severe than once thought.
According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, Salas was spotted wearing a cast on his right wrist, so now it’s clear that there’s no way he plays against the rival Patriots on Thursday. Salas has flashed again this year in limited time, averaging 20.9 yards per reception on just eight catches.
