Romo was injured last weekend in the game against the Seattle Seahawks. He took a shot from LB Bobby Wagner and hurt his ribs on the play. He also hurt his ankle later in the game. He is beaten up, but he is on the practice field working with his offense.
The Cowboys want to have their quarterback at full strength against the New York Giants for Sunday. Romo is having the best season of his career behind the best offensive line in the league and he also is benefiting from the play of RB DeMarco Murray. Things are rolling smoothly on offense for this team right now.
Tony Romo has always took a brunt of the blame for the Cowboys troubles in the past, but this season he is getting praise for helping bring the Cowboys to the top of the standings. The Cowboys are legit contenders this season and will be looking to make noise in the playoffs.
Romo will get his chance to bring his team to 6-1 to start out the season to get the team another step closer to the playoffs. It would be an amazing start for a team that many analysts wrote off before the season.
