9. Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons (-2)

Many could argue that Ryan has been the NFL’s most inconsistent quarterback this season. Weeks 1 and 3 were tremendous, but other than those, Ryan has been a mediocre quarterback. This prompts a discussion of whether Ryan is merely held up by his supporting cast or if he’s genuinely a good quarterback. (Our Joe Soriano had a take on this.)

10. Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers (+2)

Kaepernick lit up the Rams’ secondary. The touchdown passes to Brandon Lloyd and Anquan Boldin were terrific throws, especially the latter. Kap has looked good the last three weeks.

11. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers (+1)

Newton has been inconsistent, and it might be because of the nagging injury bug that has plagued him this year. Despite that, he and the offense produced against a stingy Bengals defense, aside from a few miscues.

12. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions (-2)

Despite beating Minnesota, Stafford looked out of sorts on occasion. He didn’t turn the ball over, and not having Calvin Johnson hurts, but I was disappointed by the level of output that the Lions managed against a subpar Vikings defense.

13. Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals (± 0)

If you look at Dalton’s stat line, it would seem that he played well, aside from the two interceptions.  Dalton was in fact accurate for much of the day, but he did make some mistakes that won’t allow him to move up.

14. Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens (+2)

I was hoping that Flacco would break the touchdown record after he got five in 20 minutes of game time. I can say with conviction that Sunday was one of the best games of Flacco’s (regular season) career.

15. Tom Brady, New England Patriots (+2)

Still not sure whether the old Brady has come back or not, but the game against Buffalo was certainly promising. The old Brady has shown up for the last two weeks

16. Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins (± 0)

Tannehill is too unpredictable. He looked totally lost in the first half, and came out firing on all cylinders in the second, and nearly beat Green Bay. That’s why I’m keeping him put right in the middle of the pack.
