Chicago Bears fan left in critical condition after fight on Sunday

A Chicago Bears fan was left in critical condition after getting beat up during tailgate on Sunday.
The violence that happens at football games need to stop and I am not talking about the action on the field. It is the action that is happening in the stands between the fans is what needs to stop. The action that happens in the parking lot before and after the games. The action that results in fists being thrown and people being left in critical condition. Something needs to happen to make change the atmosphere for these games.
In Chicago over the weekend, a 57-year-old man was left in critical condition after an argument at a Chicago Bears tailgate turned ugly.
Here are some of the details from the Chicago-Sun Times:
"The man was discovered “incapacitated” near his SUV with blunt trauma to the head and face, according to a police report. The victim appeared to be “heavily intoxicated” and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to the report."
This is at least the 2nd story this season of a fan left in critical condition after going to a football game. Who knew that being a spectator to a sporting event was a dangerous endeavor? We know that there is a lot of heavy drinking happening in the stands and in the tailgates and we know that football fans are passionate about their teams, but when it ends in a situation that leaves a man in critical condition, then we are doing it all wrong. It is not fun and games anymore.
And we wonder why this game is not family friendly? We can’t even take kids to he game without worry about seeing grown men act stupid! Some things need to change and stupid people are making it look bad for the rest of us fanatics.
