Jimmy Graham, Khiry Robinson Injury Updates

New Orleans Saints superstar tight end Jimmy Graham suffered a significant shoulder injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the bye week, but he was determined to play in last week’s game against the Detroit Lions and did indeed suit up. The Saints, of course, gave him a limited role, but he didn’t have nearly as much success as he did last season in a limited role while playing through an injury. Graham played in his expected 30 snaps, but he came up with goose eggs, as the Saints dropped a 24-23 loss to the Lions and a red-hot Golden Tate, who is on a ridiculous pace this year.

  • Since Graham was able to play last week and didn’t suffer any setbacks, everyone expects him to play in this week’s marquee matchup against the Green Bay Packers. According to ESPN NFL Nation’s Mike Triplett, the Saints have officially listed Graham as questionable, and he might as well be listed as “probable” after practicing all week. Graham is too tough to miss this Packers game, but it will be interesting to see how healthy he looks.

Unfortunately for the Saints, rising running back Khiry Robinson won’t be out there against the Packers vulnerable run defense, as he has been ruled out with a forearm injury after receiving minimal touches against the Lions. Robinson was never really expected to suit up this week, though he was seen as a toss-up. Now, he won’t be playing, and Mark Ingram has an excellent opportunity to show off his burgeoning talent against the Packers run D.
