Brandon Marshall joined by Lamarr Houston in rants

Chicago Bears star wide receiver Brandon Marshall was singled out as a player who was yelling loudly in the aftermath of the team’s dreadful loss to the Miami Dolphins last week, setting off plenty of speculation about what was going on inside of the Bears locker room. Marshall reportedly directed some comments towards Jay Cutler, who had a poor performance against the Dolphins (pretty much everyone did on offense besides Matt Forte). Cutler’s favorite target is Marshall from their days with the Denver Broncos, so most people wisely chalked this up to tension over losing. I mean, nobody really complains about stuff when they’re winning.

More from Chicago Bears

Anyway, two sources tell FOX Sports’s Mike Garafolo that Bears new defensive end Lamarr Houston was also one of those players upset after the game, and he had some ranting to do. Houston signed a lucrative deal to help boost the Bears poor defensive line, and he’s been better than the stats indicate (zero sacks), though he’s always been known for his run defense.

Per Garafolo, Houston told his Bears brethren that he didn’t leave the Oakland Raiders for a playoff contender in order to lose more games, and Garafolo notes that Houston never showed interest in returning to Oakland. The Bears are currently in a slide, but they’ll improve if the defense can get back on track. Today’s game against the New England Patriots will be a huge test, but the Bears could make a huge statement by getting the W.
