The Seattle Seahawks will beat the Carolina Panthers

Both of these teams were at the top of the leaderboard last season on the defensive side of hte ball, but both have not played to that level this season. The Seahawks also have been struggling on special teams. They gave up a punt return for a score last week and another long kickoff return that set up another score. They also allowed a successful fake punt that helped seal the game.

The Seahawks would love to get more time for Russell Wilson to throw the ball, but he has had to run around more often than he likes this season. He still is able to get the ball out to his playmakers, but he also has had to pull it down and run on a number of plays this season. In 2 of his last 3 games, he has run for over 100 yards.

The Panthers also had a tough defense last year, but are struggling to slow teams down this season. They also are struggling to keep their running backs healthy. Their leading rusher this season is Cam Newton. Newyton has 190 yards rushing this season.

The Panthers are at the top of the standings in the South though despite holding a 3-3-1 record. They will be looking to hang onto that lead, but will need to stop the Seahawks at home.

I just can’t see the Seahawks losing 3 straight games. They just lost to the Dallas Cowboys and the St Louis Rams. Can they lose 3 straight? I won’t bet on it.
