St. Louis Rams Kendall Langford could be traded
The St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Kendall Langford has always been one of the league’s most under-appreciated players, as he’s been outshone by even better defensive linemen around him while with the Miami Dolphins and Rams. He’s played with some talented DLs like Paul Soliai, Randy Starks, Chris Long, Aaron Donald, Michael Brockers, and Robert Quinn. While Langford isn’t on the level of Starks, Quinn, Long, or Donald, he’s a solid, consistent defensive tackle in his own right, and he could help some teams out there.

According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, teams are showing interest in the Rams DT, as Langford is no longer a starter after Donald’s meteoric rookie rise. Now, the Rams have an elite DT of the future who can make explosive plays as a pass rusher and is already a top-notch run defender despite worries that his size would cause him to be a liability in the running game. Langford could score the Rams a solid pick, especially since he’s shown that he can fit in and succeed as either a 3-4 defensive end of a 4-3 defensive tackle.
With 49 tackles, five sacks, and four passes defended last season, Langford has shown that he can consistently make an impact, and he is solid in both the passing and running game. The 28-year-old Hampton product will make $5 million this year and $6 million next year, so while he isn’t cheap, his contract is manageable and right in line with his value.
