The Dallas Cowboys pass rush has been surprisingly consistent this season, and they will get a huge boost for tomorrow’s marquee matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. With Tony Romo set to be a full-blown, game-time decision, the Cowboys need all the help they can get, and their defense will be aided by the return of Demarcus Lawrence, who missed the first half of the regular season with a broken foot that he suffered in the offseason.

The Landry Hat
Per a source close to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys activated Lawrence off of the short-term injured reserve today, and the team has since confirmed the move. Lawrence was always expected to return this week against the Cardinals, and he started practicing two weeks ago.
The Cowboys traded up for Lawrence in the second round of the draft, as the talented edge rusher out of Boise State managed to slip outside of the first round, getting picked behind Dee Ford and Marcus Smith (I’m naming those two, since I think Lawrence was a superior draft prospect to them). He has plenty of physical tools, though missing that much time has likely set him back a bit.
Lawrence will join a defensive line that includes the always-disruptive Henry Melton at DT, the solid Jeremy Mincey, and breakout player Tyrone Crawford, who has definitely taken well to Rod Marinelli.
