The Detroit Lions will get a boost to their offense with the return of WR Calvin Johnson on Sunday. The Lions will be facing off against the Miami Dolphins and their young group on defense. The Dolphins are coming off of a game where they blanked the San Diego Chargers high flying offense.

The team was doing well without their stud wide receiver on the field, but now will get the best wide receiver in the league back. Golden Tate had stepped up in his absence and looked like a Pro Bowl level receiver with Johnson on the sideline. The absence of Johnson allowed him to flourish and become a top target for Matthew Stafford.

With Johnson’s return, more attention will be on Johnson and could allow Tate to make more plays on offense. The resurgence of Tate should take some of the attention from Calvin as well. Defenses will now have to defend two top receivers on the field and find a way to slow down that monster.

Calvin said that he didn’t want to get back on the field until he could play like Megatron again. Megatron is back and Stafford can just sling it in his direction and expect some big things to happen.
