Streaming QB of the Week:
Mark Sanchez, QB, Eagles: (3.7% on NFL)(16.8% on ESPN) Count me among those who think Sanchez has found new life under Chip Kelly. He played pretty well last week after Foles left with the injury, and he looked good in the preseason. This week the Eagles have a very favorable match-up against the Panthers and the stage is set for Sanchez to succeed. If you’re not ready to believe, or already missed out on picking him up I really like the way Ryan Tannehill (63.9% on NFL)(43.3% on ESPN) is throwing the ball lately. And it’s not a great match-up but Kyle Orton (1.3% on NFL)(12.2% on ESPN) has been a solid play since taking over, and I also like rookie Zach Mettenberger (0.2% on NFL)(1.4% on ESPN) as a risk/reward play against Baltimore.
Streaming Defense of the Week:
Atlanta Falcons D/ST: (6.8% on NFL)(3.6% on ESPN) I’m not blown away by any of the match-ups this week, so here’s hoping lightning strikes twice for the Falcons defense that decimated the Buccaneers back on week 3. Josh McCown will be making his first start since that week 3 game, and while I don’t expect quite the dominant performance they enjoyed last time it’s still a favorable match-up against a struggling offense. Honorable mention goes to the Packers (22.8% on NFL)(16.2% on ESPN) who will either completely shut down the Bears at Lambeau or wind up in another shootout depending on how effectively each team game planned over the bye week. And if Tony Romo has to miss a second game the Jaguars (0.7% on NFL)(0.9% on ESPN) become very enticing playing in London against Brandon Weeden.
