Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Brandon Weeden looked impressive in the preseason and played decently well against the Washington Redskins, so it seemed like he could do a credible job of leading the Cowboys offense against the Arizona Cardinals. Instead, Weeden looked completely inept, showing no progress from his dreadful days with the Cleveland Browns, as he completely failed to get the ball to Dez Bryant. There was once a chance of the Cowboys holding Romo out of the London game against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars, but that all went out the window after Weeden’s display against Arizona.

The Landry Hat
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys have officially listed Romo as probable for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars, and that means he’s a lock to return from his fractured transverse processes. The Cowboys have to be careful with any possible aggravation of the injury, but it sounds like he’s healthy enough to play.
Romo practiced today and yesterday after getting some treatment to start the week, and everyone has been optimistic that he would be able to play. The probable listing seals that, and the Jaguars will be an easy pass defense for Romo to pick apart upon his return from the injury. I expect Bryant to have a big day in London, and it will be interesting to see how Romo looks, especially when it comes to putting some mustard on more difficult throws.
