Ben Tate has been released by the Cleveland Browns today. The team will put their trust in their rookie backs and will allow Tate to sign on with another team. The Denver Broncos seem to be a nice fit for Tate.
The Cleveland Browns have released RB Ben Tate on Tuesday morning. Tate was getting pushed further and further down the depth chart and the carries were going to the rookies on the roster. Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West were getting the majority of the snaps on the field so the team decide that they could cut ties with Tate.

It definitely is a surprising move for the Browns since they just signed him in the offseason. He signed a 2-year deal worth $6.2 million and $2.5 million of that was guaranteed. He will now become a free agent and anyone that is in need of a running back can pick him up.
This season, Tate has played in 8 games and has 333 yards on 106 attempts running he ball. He has 4 touchdowns and a 3.1 average. I am sure that a team like the Denver Broncos will be interested in bringing Tate into town.
There was talk that Tate was becoming a bad fit in the locker room. He wasn’t getting the playing time and was complaining about the playing time.
