Cribbs will help the Colts struggling return game. He was signed and released by the Oakland Raiders in 2013, then played 6 games with the New York Jets.
Cribbs will be primarily a special teams player with the Colts. He had seen some time at wide receiver in his last few seasons with the Clevleand Browns, but his biggest skill set that he can bring to a team is his ability to return kicks and punts. He also is a good cover man on special teams.
The Colts are at the bottom of the league in punt return average and Cribbs will be expected to give that area a boost immediately.

Also, with Ahmad Bradshaw out indefinitely, the Colts could be in the bidding for recently released Browns RB Ben Tate. The Colts already have Trent Richardson on the roster and now have Cribbs, might as well add another Browns castoff onto their roster.
