team. 13.
After starting the season extremely well, San Diego continues to play below expectations. If you can believe Antonio Gates, Rivers is hurt and that is the reason he has played so poorly lately. If that is the case, he must get healthy quickly, because currently they still have a good chance to make the playoffs, but if they continue to play like they did on Sunday, that will not happen. The Chargers defense played very well, but it was against the Raiders and they have bigger challenges waiting. Losing Verrett for the year is tough, as he was playing a very good rookie season.
. 6-4. Previous: . San Diego Chargers. 16

The Ravens seem to be the most consistent team in the AFC North. They beat the bad teams that they are expected to beat, and they lose to most of the above average teams. This makes them an average team. Their offense isn´t anything special, but it isn´t really bad either, and their defense has some good young talent, but also isn´t above average either. This upcoming game will be a key one that they have to win, if they have hope of taking control of the division.
. 6-4. Previous: . Baltimore Ravens. 15. team. 26

Pittsburgh Steelers. 14. team. 55.
To me the Steelers are the most talented team in the AFC North, but they seem to struggle with putting together consistent performances. Monday night was another mediocre performance, in which they barely beat a pretty bad Titans team. Their offense has the ability to consistently put up large amounts of points, but they don´t show that every week. Their defense is a very average defense and will continue to do a decent job. Pittsburgh was smart to cut LaGarrette Blount, who was being nothing other than a distraction.
. 7-4. Previous:

As you can see by my last two picks, the AFC North is very tight and no team has really established themselves as the favorite. Nobody can really figure out where this Bengals team stands , as they keep switching between terrible and good to great. This week they marched into the Superdome and they were fantastic. Andy Dalton hooked up with A.J Green for big gains, Jeremy Hill ran all over the Saints D and the Bengals defense shut down the explosive offense of the Saints. I don´t think Andy Dalton will ever lead this Bengals team to a Super Bowl, but they definitely are good enough to win this division, and if they can start finding their rhythm, there is a good chance they will.
. 6-3-1.
