Darrelle Revis calls Aaron Rodgers the ‘biggest test yet’

The New England Patriots have been on an absolute tear lately, as they continued to dominate tough opponents by blowing out Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions top pass defense in a 34-9 victory. Darrelle Revis defended four passes and Brandon Browner had two PDs, as the Patriots elite secondary completely blanket the Lions wide receiver duo of Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, with only Tate supplying some sort of fire-power for the Lions offense. That was the easier NFC North test for the Patriots, though, as Revis and the team know that what awaits them on Sunday will be their toughest battle yet.

More from Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers didn’t blow out the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12 (they did accomplish that earlier in the season), but they added another win to their total. The Packers are rising, and Rodgers is a prime MVP candidate with some nasty numbers to his credit. He’s averaging 8.6 yards per attempt with 30 touchdowns compared to just three interceptions. No quarterback has been more efficient than Rodgers, who has been playing with an almost robotic consistency.

According to NESN’s Doug Kyed, Patriots elite CB Darrelle Revis called Rodgers and the Packers the team’s toughest test thus far, “They’re top in every category in the passing game. We believe that Aaron Rodgers is our biggest test yet, so, we respect those guys.”

Watching Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, and Randall Cobb go at it against Darelle Revis, Brandon Browner, and Devin McCourty should be a real treat.
