Previous: . New York Jets. 31. team. 30.
What was that? I don’t know if I should be more impressed with the Jets or dumbfounded. Regardless, they lost a game that they could have won. The lack of quarterback play and a second straight loss drop them to number 31.

For the most part, the Jets played an ugly game against the Miami Dolphins. They ran the ball effectively, sure. But they also ran the ball almost every play. Geno Smith threw the ball just 13 times, with most of those attempts coming on the final drive. This game did nothing for New York in determining whether or not Smith is their guy moving forward. Maybe it’s because the answer is obvious. He’s not. The Jets need a makeover and it starts at the QB position. Rex Ryan has never had an effective QB that can put up points. If they want to kick start the rebuilding process they must find their signal caller of the future in this year’s draft.

It’s crazy to think their style of play on Monday night almost earned them a victory. I’m a supporter, but Rex, you need to find another job.
. (2-10)
