Tennessee Titans (2-12)
The Titans are 2-12 this season and could have a shot at Marcus Mariota in the NFL draft. If the Titans have the top selection to take Mariota, they should go in that direction. The quarterback situation in Tennessee is in flux.
Jake Locker has been tabbed the starter for the last 3 seasons, but he has not been able to stay healthy. In the last 2 seasons, he played 7 games before going down with an injury. He can’t be trusted with his injury history. The team declined his 5th year option in the offseason and he will become a free agent. The team will likely move on.
Zach Mettenberger was taken in the 6th round of the draft and has stepped in as the starter. He has started 6 games this season and still is looking for his first win. He has shown potential at times this year (263 yards passing and 2 touchdowns in loss to Pittsburgh, 345 yards and 2 touchdowns in loss to Philly), but he could use some competition at the position.
Could Ken Whisenhunt fix Jay Cutler? Whisenhunt did a good job of turning the season around for Philip Rivers in San Diego last season. Rivers won the comeback player of the year with the support of Whisenhunt as the offensive coordinator. Why couldn’t he work his magic with Jay Cutler?
