Number 3: Kareem Jackson – Corner back – Houston Texans

The Miami Dolphins currently have one of the top corner backs in the NFL on their roster in Brent Grimes. Recently, the team signed him to a contract extension, keeping the Pro Bowl corner in Miami for another four seasons.

But other than Grimes, Miami has a real issue at the position. Second year players Jamar Taylor and Will Davis both suffered injuries, while it has been rumored that second starter Cortland Finnegan is contemplating retiring at seasons end. If this is the case, it will be imperative Miami finds a replacement. That replacement could be fifth year corner, Kareem Jackson.

In his time with the Houston Texans, Jackson has excelled. One thing Jackson is best at is his ability to cover man-to-man. In college, he played a lot of bump and run coverage. He can jam up the receiver at the line of scrimmage and does an excellent job in re-directing the receivers routes.

As of now, the Texans have not had any contact of a new deal. Jackson has been one of the better defensive players on Houston over the last few seasons. If Finnegan does move on from football, Jackson would serve as a very good replacement.
