Dec 6, 2014; Atlanta, GA, USA; Missouri Tigers wide receiver Jimmie Hunt (88) makes a catch over Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back Geno Smith (24) and defensive back Landon Collins (26) during the 2014 SEC Championship Game at the Georgia Dome. Mandatory Credit: Kevin Liles-USA TODAY Sports.

Danny Shelton. 13. player. 53. . Defensive Lineman. Washington

Dan: The Browns stunk at stopping their opponents rushing attacks in 2014, so look for them to improve on a weak defensive front. Shelton fills needs across the line, including nose tackle. With a semi-rookie at quarterback next season, Cleveland will need to play top notch defense to keep itself in the AFC North conversation.

Arizona State. Jaelen Strong. 14. player. 42. . Wide Receiver

Todd: No matter what happens with their head coach, the 49ers need weapons in 2015. Colin Kaepernick can’t do much by himself. The deterioration of Frank Gore, coupled with the disappearance of Vernon Davis and the weak receiving corps left Kaep with few options. Jaelen Strong is a thin but tall and athletic leaper on the outside capable of changing games with his big-play ability.

Alabama. Landon Collins. 15. player. 59. . Safety

Dan: Although average overall on offense, the Dolphins showed a lot of promise in 2014. What really hurt was their inability to stop opponent’s passing attacks. Collins is the top ranked safety in the draft, super versatile and great at the line of scrimmage. He not only provides depth across Miami’s defensive backfield, but a formidable force on a unit in need of more playmakers.

Offensive Tackle. LSU. La'El Collins. 16. player. 53.

Todd: This is Cleveland’s second pick from the trade it made with Buffalo last year. If it addresses the defensive line earlier, the Browns can look to add some depth to their offensive line with this selection. Collins is a good run blocker who returned to school and improved his game into first-round territory.
