Indianapolis Colts, 1548 yards rushing, 21st in the league

Dan Herron and Trent Richardson are splitting carries in Indianapolis. The Colts are going to win on the arm of Andrew Luck, but they could use some help in the run game to keep the pressure off of Luck. In the Colts last game against the Dallas Cowboys, the team was only able to run for 10 yards.

Herron had a solid performance against the Houston Texans in the previous game. He had 11 carries for 60 yards. This season, Herron has 316 yards on 68 carries for a 4.6 yard average.

Herron is in his 3rd season in the league and likely would be a better option for the team at this point than someone signed off of the street. Tate could be brought onto the roster to join the team in practice and get ready for the first game in the playoffs.

Herron still likely would be the lead back on the roster, but Tate could split some carries with him and push Trent Richardson deeper on the bench.
