Dec 20, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers (17) throws a pass against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi

Coming into the final week of the regular season, two playoff spots are up for grabs, and most of the seeding is not in the books yet either. There are many teams that could still make the playoffs and some will battle it out against each other this week. I will give my NFL picks for every game that has any playoff implications.

San Diego Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs:

Before the Alex Smith injury was reported, I would have picked the Kansas City Chiefs at home, but this changes everything. Chase Daniel only has one career start and that was last year against the Chargers, and he did play quite solid in that game, but this is a different Chargers team. The Chargers are coming off an amazing come back victory of the 49ers, and I don’t think they will let anyone take this playoff berth away from them. While Rivers is hurting, he will get it done and lead this team to victory. The Chiefs still have a lot to play for too, because if they win and a few other teams are upset, then they would make the Playoffs. The Chargers play really good football this time of year, and while it could be close, they will pull out the victory.

Winner: San Diego Chargers

Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins:

This game could have an impact on seeding, if the Rams can upset the Seahawks and the 49ers can beat the Cardinals, but otherwise it isn’t very important. I think the Cowboys might even pull Romo if he takes a couple hits from the defense. I do think they will take care of buisness and at least play the starters at the beginning and they will be able to win their final game of the season.

Winner: Dallas Cowboys
