Calvin Johnson has more swagger than any other wide receiver in the NFL because he doesn’t have to tell you about it. Johnson never talks trash, he never has sideline outbursts and he never gets fined. He just goes out playing football, and he’s damn good at it.
Don’t even think about playing Johnson man-to-man. In fact, don’t even feel safe double-covering Johnson. You know what, Johnson has even beat triple coverage before, so good luck. He’s a monster.
Here’s an example of Johnson’s swagger: When Dez Bryant (see sideline outbursts) said he could do everything Calvin Johnson does, Johnson didn’t respond with a jab of his own. Instead, Johnson let his play do his talking, and boy, did he have a lot to say. Johnson caught 14 passes for 329 yards that day. Yes, really.
Aside from being a scary good wide receiver, Johnson has also helped change the atmosphere in Detroit. But more importantly (kidding), Johnson has the best original nickname in the NFL: Megatron.
Megatron has graced the cover of the popular Madden video game, and he even broke the curse by breaking Jerry Rice‘s record for most receiving yards in a single season.
