4. Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers

Adams was what some people would call a “security blanket” for Aaron Rodgers. He, along with Randall Cobb, was the receiver that Rodgers went to in crucial situations. This is partly because Orlando Scandrick did a good job of keeping Jordy Nelson in check, but also because Adams won his one-on-one matchups with Dallas’s third cornerback Sterling Moore.

Adams’ stat line looked like this: seven catches on 11 targets, 117 yards, and a touchdown. He had several crucial third down catches, including a 20-yard reception on third-and-three with 2:30 left in the game that prolonged Green Bay’s drive. Adams also had a 46-yard touchdown on third-and-15 that brought the Packers within one point in the third quarter:

Time and time again, Adams pulled through in clutch moments, making several tough catches. Other than Aaron Rodgers, Adams was Green Bay’s MVP of the win against Dallas.
